Dunstable Town FC are delighted to announce that Tandem Bank has become the club’s first official banking partner.
Tandem and Dunstable Town FC have signed a lucrative 3 year sponsorship agreement that will help to support the club’s ambitions both on and off the pitch.
Andrew Madaras, Chair of Dunstable Town FC commented;
"For the past 18 months Dunstable Town FC has operated as a Community Benefit Society (CBS) and now runs as a social enterprise. This means that the Club’s purpose is no longer just to play football, but is also now to be a force for good in the local community.
We do this by providing eight groups every fortnight as part of a programme called Improving the Lives of Others. We have a mental health support group, a group which supports people who may be lonely and socially isolated and three different Walking Football groups. Each group caters for a different type of need. Each group is free to join and participate in. By doing this we aim to be as inclusive and as accessible as we can be.
CBS Clubs aim to provide a sustainable future for their fans by becoming embedded in the local community. Their community work has the same value and importance as the football side of the Club.
Tandem’s sponsorship is extremely welcome and their support and of our many other sponsors, is vital to the work we do both on and off the football pitch."
Georgina Whalley, Chief Impact and Marketing Officer at Tandem said:
“I’m delighted that Tandem has partnered with Dunstable Town Football Club.
The potential of football in supporting local communities and energising society is significant. Helping people and communities is at the very heart of Tandem and I’m proud that we can play our part.
Dunstable Town FC, as a Community Benefit Society, is a wholly fan-owned club with equal voting rights. It is by definition at the centre of the community and therefore a great partner for Tandem.
I can’t wait to follow their progress and wish them a successful rest of the season!”
