COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

IMPROVING THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

In the summer of 2021 Dunstable Town Football Club relaunched as a Community Benefit Society (CBS), which is a recognised legal entity structure, supported by the FSA (Football Supporters Association) and regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).

A big part of being a Community Benefit Society is our duty to improve the lives of others, we do this with our community groups which run free of charge throughout the week for members of the public.

SPHERE & S.O.U.L

Sphere is a mental health peer support group for people with lived experience of mental health problems and who are in recovery.

The group meets weekly and enjoys a variety of arts and crafts activities and lively conversation.

It is not a drop-in centre and can signpost to appropriate statutory services.

On Wednesday afternoons our second mental health peer support group, S.O.U.L. meets in the CBS Hub.

S.O.U.L. is an abbreviation of Support, Optimism, Understanding & Laughter.

It runs on a very similar model to Sphere. The group is limited to 12 places and meets from 1pm to 3pm.

CHUMS AND CRUMBS

Chums & Crumbs is a joint partnership between the Club and Social Prescribers from Titan PCN.

We meet in the Dunstable Centre for two hours every week. We can take up to 12 members at a time. Anecdotally we know how much our attendees value coming to the group.

For some, we will be the only people they get to see or chat with on a weekly basis. The group meets every Thursday between 11am and 1pm.

Please contact Vicky on 07305 178465 for more information.
