Andrew serves as Director of Community Activities whilst working with parent body, the Football Supporters’ Association, to roll out aspects of the Club’s mental health strategy across the FSA’s community owned clubs’ network.

#youareenough
Dunstable Town FC is proud to share #youareenough with our colleagues within the community owned clubs’ network of the Football Supporters’ Association’s (FSA)
The launch of #youareenough marks agreement and understanding between the FSA & Mind, the UK’s largest mental health charity.
While the five-point Memorandum of Understanding covers several other aspects relating to joint working between both organisations, #youareenough will see community owned clubs empowered to play a more active part in mental health awareness and education challenge the stigma associated with poor mental health.
Background
With thanks
Two years ago, DTFC Director of Community Activities, Andrew Madaras, was elected to the
National Council of the FSA and put forward a mental health strategy that was adopted by
the FSA’s National Board.
Andrew began working with Dave Rose, FSA Deputy CEO, and Hayley Jarvis (Mind Head of
Physical Activity) and at the FSA’s Annual Awards at the Nobu Hotel, London, in December
2024, Andrew, Hayley announced in an interview with Victoria Derbyshire that an informal
partnership between both organisations had been agreed in principle and was close to sign off.
At club level #youareenough borrows heavily from the mental health awareness programme
that has been successfully running at Dunstable Town FC since 2017 as part of the Club’s
Improving the Lives of Others community support programme, and will link every community
owned club in the FSA’s network with their local Mind charity.
Clubs will be encouraged to promote the education and awareness information that Mind
provides through club websites and social media platforms, take advantage of specialist
mental health training provided by Mind and ensure there is a mental health first aider at
every home match.
Clubs are also committed to carry out a minimum of one fundraising event for their local
Mind charity every season.

The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Richard Irving, Andy Walsh, Darren
Bernstein, Dave Rose at the FSA for their total and unwavering support for the programme.
