Micky's match day notes

This evening, we welcome Risborough Rangers FC to Creasey Park for what is going to be a mouthwatering fixture. Since my last notes a 11 days ago we have had three very solid performances and picked up 6 points. And as I am typing these notes, I am upset that it was not 9 points as the performance last Tuesday did not deserve the result we got. But that’s football and as frustrating as it was, we bounced back in the best possible fashion on Saturday against a hard-working AFC Welwyn side.

That’s 2 clean sheets in three games for us now and the lads are working exceptionally hard in training and are now starting to see the rewards, we have said from the day we walked into the building that this was and is going to be a tough ask but both Steve and I have never doubted our end goal.

To maintain this football club’s status at Step 5. We have put ourselves in a great position to do that and the performances MUST remain as high as they have been. Relentless and showing that never die attitude.

This evening is going to be one of the toughest yet, I know Gary well and I know just how good his Risborough Rangers FC side are, always a tough team to play against, strong, physical and have some great individual players. BUT saying that so do we and they are playing very well. All shaping up to being a great game so let’s get behind the lads as you have since I walked in the building and let’s hope the points stay at Creasey Park.

I hope you all enjoy the game.

Micky
