After beating FC Romania 2-0, gaining their first three points of the season Dunstable Town travelled to Biggleswade hoping to make it two away wins on the bounce.
Dunstable started brightly with Luka Lodder getting his second goal in as many games in the fourth minute. Some good hold up play from Mason Davis, who chested the ball into the path of Sam Ezenwaka who threaded a perfectly weighted ball through to Luka Lodder who neatly finished in the bottom right corner.
Biggleswade did cause problems for Dunstable creating some good chances, even hitting the woodwork. Dunstable defended well against an aggressive side and went in at half 1-0 up.
Nine minutes into the second half, Dunstable got their second very contentious goal as Mason Davis made contact with a corner and directed the ball into the goalmouth. There was considerable discourse about whether the ball cross the line however the linesman gave the goal and Dunstable found themselves 2-0 up.
Dunstable needed to stay alert, however as Biggleswade were still threatening and a goal line clearance from JJ Kenna tested Dunstable’s resolve. Tensions began to flare as Ethan Goulding and Biggleswade’s Mekhi Angol both went into the book following a confrontation.
Dunstable continued to defend well keeping their clean sheet intact to make it two in a row and two back to back wins on the road.
Dunstable hope to keep this momentum going as they take on bottom of the league Shefford Town and Campton on Saturday 14th September.
