Dunstable Town are delighted to announce that the directors have appointed Steve Dobbs as our new U18 floodlit manager.
Luke Mitchell, our newly appointed director of football for youth said, “I’ve known Steve for the passed 10 years, both our children entered the MK Dons academy at the same time.
“Steve has a credible record in youth football, where he’s created a number of exceptional teams and pushed players on to academy settings, he understands and buys into our one club vision.
“I’m looking forward to working with Steve to embed the culture we want as a club, I’m pleased to see his efforts are already having an impact both on and off the pitch.
“As a board of directors we’re committed to giving our youth players every chance to represent our club at the highest level of youth football, with a clear pathway to adult football.
“Steve has already made a huge difference and created a professional setting, where players are supported, encouraged and developed.
“We wish Steve all the best in his new role. He will be supported Morgan Codrington who coaches within the Luton Town set up as well as our U16’s and Jack Young, who’s been around for the last couple of years, will also coach.”
Luke commented that there are already plans to grow our U18’s and development settings next season and we will have more updates soon around the clubs “2026 vision” and the changes we’re making to embed our pathway with a clear and transparent governance across the whole club.
