Youth Section: Back to back County Cup success for Lions

Congratulations to the U18 Lions who beat AFC Oakley Panthers on penalties to win their second successive County Cup.

Having won it last season at U16’s they travelled to Langford FC and took the lead in the 37th minute when Owen found the top corner from the edge of the box.

AFC Oakley levelled the game with just four minutes remaining when a throw bounced over a Dunstable defender for the attacking player to hit a volley into the net.

The game went to penalties after 90 minutes where Town scored all four of their spot kicks. Vale saved two from AFC Oakley to help his team win 4-1 in the shootout.

It was great to see Elliot involved in the celebrations after his illness.
