U13’s Invincibles Win the Chiltern Youth League Division 1 in Style

Remind me again what that old football saying is…something about the table not lying?

And of course, the table come the end of the season doesn’t lie. Top of the table, and seven points ahead of second-place Tattenhoe Youth U13’s, are our own undefeated U13 Lions team who ended the season on Sunday with the proud playing record of.

Played 14. Won 13. Drawn 1. Lost 0. Points 40.

Congratulations to Manager, Gary Rogers, and his players on a remarkable achievement who everyone at the Club are proud of.

It was an injury-hit squad that travelled to the Medbourne Community Pavillion complex in north Milton Keynes on Sunday morning.

Home team Tattenhoe have also had a very good season and other than losing to our lads a fortnight ago at Creasey Park had only lost once in their twelve other outings.

Tattenhoe went into the lead midway through the first half and deservedly led at the break.

Dunstable hadn’t really clicked into gear but that changed in the second half as the boys found their feet and upped the tempo. Some of the free-flowing movement and passing was a joy to watch.

A net busting equalizer from Kai was followed by a firmly struck penalty from Aamir to see the Blues over the line.

Given how warm and sunny it was, the boys may have been a bit disappointed that there was no repeat of the celebratory Prosecco spraying to help them cool down!

Gary has assembled a very cohesive unit. His players work well together as a team, and the presence of a Division 1 scout at the last home game is testimony to the talent he has put together.

Fans will get the opportunity to applaud the boys at the home pre-season friendly v North Leigh on Saturday 24th July when they and their families will be guests of the Club.
