Steve O'Reilly Appointed as First Team Manager

Dunstable Town FC are pleased to announce Steve O’Reilly as First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Steve joins the Club from Harpenden Town where he has been Assistant Manager to Micky Nathan for the past four years.

Steve made over 100 appearances for the Harps as a player and Club Captain before moving into the dugout.

Prior to that Steve made over 100 appearances for Wembley FC so he knows local Step 5 football like the back of his hand.

Steve and his coaching colleagues, Liam Dwyer & Robert Swan beat off stiff competition to land the role and have been tasked with getting the Blues promoted in the next couple of seasons.

The Club received thirty applications and interviewed five of the most experienced candidates.

Steve’s vision for the Club and his step-by-step approach on how he intends to achieve success was fully in line with those of the Club, and his forensic like analysis of all the components of the football club made him the ideal candidate.

Steve is joined by Liam Dwyer, who is a UEFA B licenced coach & was Joint Manager at Chalfont St Peter FC until three months ago. Liam has also had managerial experience at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, as well as coaching roles at Leighton Town, Kings Langley, Tring Athletic and Harpenden Town. He’s also had scouting roles at EFL clubs. Liam also worked for three years as Watford FC’s Community & Sports Education Trust Physical & Mental Health Officer and will bring this experience to good use with the Blues own community support initiative, Improving the Lives of Others.

Rob Swan has been on the management team at Harpenden Town for the past four years and became First Team Coach in November 2021. He is a UEFA B Licenced coach and was awarded the position as Hertfordshire Grassroots Coach of the Year in 2022.

DTFC Owners will have the opportunity to meet the new team at the Club’s AGM on Friday 7th June.
