Dunstable Town Women made the long trip to Thetford Town on Sunday and came away with a narrow defeat.
The first half proved a stalemate as the teams went into the break level at 0-0.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 49th minute when a hopeful ball across the Blues’ 18 yard line found its way through to the opposite side of the box where it was hit first time past Angelika Kopec-Knurek.
Dunstable equalised in the 68th minute when a fine move ended with Emily Foster volleying home.
However, Thetford regained the lead five minutes later via a penalty when an unfortunate slip saw a Dunstable player land on the ball with her hand in the area.
The Blues will hope to get back to winning ways when they travel to Biggleswade United this coming Sunday.
Team: Kopec-Knurek; Cook; Cullen; Rees; Rothwell; Plumbridge; Surridge; Fraser-Christie; Sargeant; Molloy; Hawksworth.
