Match Report: Newport Pagnell Town U18’s 3-6 Dunstable Town U18’s

A phenomenal second half performance secured the young Blues another three points.

A quick start as the team who had a few chances in front of goal as well as playing some good football and eventually the Blues found the net in the 27th minute when Enare volleyed past the Swans goalkeeper to make it 0-1,

Three minutes later the home side struck to level the game followed by another minutes later as they took the lead when a well struck shot went past the Dunstable keeper.

There were another few chances in front of goal but Dunstable kept morale up going into the break.

Three minutes into the second half Owen Russell got the ball and converted from close range levelling the game.

Shortly after Newport Pagnell found the net again giving them the lead. Some nice pieces of play gave Dunstable some chances and an equaliser was found as Russell got his second as he fired home at the back post in the 57th minute pulling the game level.

A few superb saves by Mikey Dobbs kept the game on equal terms the in the 64th minute a mistake by the Newport Pagnell goalkeeper gifted the ball to Luis Ribeiro Nso who calmly struck and give Dunstable the lead .

With lots of time left the visitors had chance after chance, then in the 71st minute Russell was fouled and won a penalty, which he converted to give himself a hat-trick and his team a fifth goal.

More chances in front goal kept the Blues pushing for a sixth. A lovely bit of football found Cameron Gunning who found the net for his first league goal for Dunstable Town.

A dominant performance for the rest of the second half as the game was won.
