Match Report: Harlow Town 2-3 Dunstable Town

Dunstable Town produced a performance of grit and determination to take all three points at Harlow on Saturday with a last gasp winner from Montel Brown.

Harlow came out fast as a cross was headed towards goal but Alex Desmond was able to save at point blank range in the 8th minute.

Nine minutes later they took the lead when Louis Stead headed home a free kick.

It was Harlow who made Desmond produced two fine saves in three minutes when he was able to react well to a snap shot as well as keeping hold of the rebound. They then broke through the Town defence but Desmond saved 1-on-1 with his opponent.

Town rode the storm and equalised on 33 minutes when Luka Lodder fed Hadley Gleeson who turned his man inside out, then tucked the ball away with calm.

The game fully turned on its head three minutes later as Town won a corner that wasn’t cleared properly as JJ Kenna headed into the path of Luka Lodder who put the ball past James Pellin to take the lead.

The hosts came out for the second half determined to get back in the game and hit the post on the hour mark.

Steve O’Reilly made a number of changes to try and give the team some fresh legs on a hot day. Brown being one of the replacements as he came on for Gleeson.

Harlow made the breakthrough just inside added time when Josh Gruby pulled them level.

However, Dunstable weren’t done or content on taking a point. Fellow substitute Charlie Clark put Brown through on goal who calmly tucked the ball home deep into stoppage time to spark scenes of joy.
