Torrential rain before and during the game put paid to this local encounter with Tring Athletic.
Town made several changes to the squad before the match with new signings Alfie Mumford, Ryan Kelsey, Jordan Wright and Caleb Burton all starting.
Tring were awarded an early penalty when Mumford brought down Blake Argent in the box with Greg Deer converted the spot kick.
In the 27th minute a quick attack from the hosts saw Mumford tip a shot over the bar and then went close from the following corner.
The Blues equalised on 31 minutes when a fine cross was met by Burton who headed home.
Six minutes later the referee brought a holt to proceedings as they rain came down further and the pitch waterlogged.
