Dunstable Town were again left frustrated and in search of the win that’s been a long time coming. The effort is there but the luck needed to turn results into wins has not matched.
Missing several players of late with injury and unavailability, it’s been a tough time but Town have never been totally out of games lately and with a bit more luck and confidence they will hopefully turn things around.
The hosts went behind early in the game when a cross-field free kick was intercepted Teddy Jones who then played in Sam Ajjayah to score.
They responded well and equalised in the 15th minute when Colney Heath keeper misplaced a pass that ended at Luka Lodder’s feet, he crossed for Mulik Rickman to level the game.

Dunstable were building momentum with Lodder almost lobbing Gauthier but the ball agonisingly fell just over the bar and onto the roof of the net four minutes later.

Rickman then crashed a shot off the bar with Lodder shooting high over the target in a good ten minute spell for the Blues.
Jones tried to test George Rose in the Town goal but he was able to make an easy save.
In the 38th minute Alex Strazza shot high and wide for the visitors before they regained the lead when Ajjayah fired home via the near post.
Right on half time Gauthier made a fine save to palm Lodder’s free kick on to the post and away to safety.
There was little action in the opening twenty minutes or so of the second half until Rickman, who had a great game, hit a fine shot just over the bar.

Town were feeling hard done by with soft bookings and decisions going against them, none more so that when Rose was cautioned for trying to get the ball back from an opponent who had delayed the restart but received no punishment but Rose somehow picked up a yellow card.
Ethan Goulding had the final effort of the game with two minutes left but it was high and over.
Dunstable can be happy with the effort but lady-luck isn’t shining down on them at the moment.
