Dunstable Town hosted FA Vase finalists Cockfosters at Creasey Park on Tuesday night and the visitors showed why they have achieved success in that competition and still have high hopes of gaining a playoff place.
The Blues, who were missing Jake Anthony through illness, started the game well and could have been ahead in the opening twenty minutes.
Plamedi Bomolo broke through the Cockfosters backline on 13 minutes but misconnected with the ball when one on one with Muhammed Otuyo in the visitors’ goal and skewed his shot wide of the post
Five minutes later Kodi Briggs hit a fine free kick that crashed down off the crossbar and was eventually cleared to safety.

The visitors upped their game from then on and had a shot blocked for a corner that was cleared then on the half hour mark Olly Sotoyinbo headed just wide but he was ruled offside.
Soon after they took the lead when Town lost possession allowing their opponents to breakaway and score through Junior Mubiayi with 33 minutes played.
Four minutes into the second half Mubiayi shot wide for Cockfosters but on the hour mark they doubled their lead when a throw in the Cockfosters half somehow found its way through to George Lutaaya who scored with
ease.

Mubiayi then curled a shot wide for Cockfosters in the 64th minute.
Both sets of players became frustrated with decisions against them with Dunstable captain Jordan Wright sin-binned for allegedly querying those decisions with fourteen minutes left on the clock.
