Match Report: Aylesbury Vale Dynamos 5-0 Dunstable Town

Written by Zain Rizvi

Dunstable’s difficult start to the season continued as they travelled to Aylesbury to continue their league campaign.

Dunstable struggled to find their footing and Aylesbury netted early in the 11th minute which really set the tempo for the rest of the game. Aylesbury continued to test Caleb Chandler with Dunstable mustering to create half chances.

In the 37th minute, Aylesbury doubled their lead through some quick feet from Bakary Daffeh. Three minutes later, Aylesbury made it 3-0 thanks to a header from David Brown.

Steve O’Reilly made a triple sub at half time hoping to invoke a reaction similar to the one he got in the second half of our FA Cup tie against Little Oakley. Unfortunately, he would be disappointed as in the 58th minute Bakary Daffeh got himself a hat-trick as he went round Chandler and tapped it in.

The next 20 minutes passed quietly with neither team creating any significant chance. To add insult to injury, in the 82nd minute. Ethan Goulder received his second yellow card of the game and was dismissed. Aylesbury made it five in the 89th minute rounding off a game that the team will not be quick to forget.
