Former Blue Signs for Fulham

Dunstable Town FC were delighted to learn yesterday that former player Eric Ameyaw had signed professional terms with EPL side Fulham FC.

Eric joined Dunstable Town in September 2019 following his release from Northampton Town FC. He came on as substitute in the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round home defeat to Bishop Stortford FC on the 7th September when he was 17.

He made his full debut in the home victory against Wembley on the 5th October and went on to make 21 full appearances, scoring one goal developing a strong partnership with fellow centre half, Sam McCelland and endearing himself to fellow players, coaches and fans with his cultured and committed performances.

Assistant Manager Ryan Sturges commented;

“Eric quickly adapted to the demands of playing semi professional football having previously played development level football. His progress was astonishingly quick. He had an instinctive and natural desire to learn and apply himself correctly. His professional attitude was second to none”

Everyone at Dunstable Town FC wishes Eric a long and successful career in the game he was destined to grace.
