Dunstable Town FC is proud to support #youareenough, a nationwide mental health initiative launched by the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) in partnership with Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity.
The campaign follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the FSA and Mind and aims to empower community-owned clubs to play a more active role in mental health education, awareness, and support.
#youareenough builds on Dunstable Town FC’s successful mental health programme, part of its "Improving the Lives of Others" community initiative, running since 2017. It was developed in part by Andrew Madaras, DTFC Director of Community Activities, and supported by Dave Rose (FSA Deputy CEO) and Hayley Jarvis (Mind Head of Physical Activity).
Key elements of the campaign include:
· Mental health first aiders at every home match
· Links between clubs and their local Mind charity
· Fundraising events and training opportunities for staff and volunteers
· Promotion of Mind’s resources through club channels
Andrew Madaras and DTFC Mental Health Ambassador Chris Bryden will visit every FSA community-owned club over the next year to support the roll-out.
The club Directors are proud to thank Vicky Harding, Peter Bottom, Yvonne Verta, Mark Williams, John Greener and Andrew Madaras as the current Mental Health First Aid team.
The Club also congratulates Bury FC for officially launching their club campaign at their recent Family Fun Day, with further activities planned for their fixtures against Chester FC on July 12–13.
