Dunstable Town Football Club, Shout or Whisper CIC and Titan PCN present Write Minds, a writing group that encourages community and well-being through poetry. Each session of the 6 week course provides a new perspective on how to use writing to define oneself. Our mission is to build up the confidence of participants through practical tools and clarified ideas. We also provide differentiated exercises and examples from established writers to keep things interesting!
The workshops are a space for individuals to feel heard and poetry is an incredibly useful vehicle to achieve that. There is no need for participants to have any prior knowledge of how to write a poem. Though we do try different techniques, with exercises varying in difficulty, we will celebrate every single word that they are able to write. All we ask for is participants enter each week with an open mind and a willingness to have a go!
