Chums & Crumbs is a collaborative venture between Dunstable Town FC, Titan PCN and Stevenage Leisure Ltd. Every week the group provides two hours of company, support and a range of activities for up to twelve people who may lack social support systems that keep many of us in regular contact with friends, neighbours and families.
Since opening in March this year it has provided support for over 200 local people.
Over 30 people, including local MP Andrew Selous & Mayor, Liz Jones attended a belated opening party in the summer, an
d now the group which is co-run by Lee Nutley (DTFC) and Vicky Harding (Titan PCN) is delighted to announce that it has been selected by Asda as one of the three beneficiaries of its Token Scheme which will run between January 2023 to April 2023.
Depending on how well Asda customers chose to support Chums and Crumbs over the other two groups will determine whether the group receives £300, £400 or £500.
Chums and Crumbs meet every Thursday between 11 am and 1 pm at the Dunstable Centre, Court Drive, LU5 4JD. No referral is necessary. The group is free to join, and no charges are made for refreshments or activities.
Chums and Crumbs form part of Dunstable Town FC’s Improving the Lives of Others initiative launched in July 2021 when the Club became a fan owned Community Benefit Society.
The Club also operates a separate fellowship group, Sphere at the Glider, and three Walking Football groups. For more information or if you have a couple of hours spare each week and would like to join us as a volunteer, please contact Andrew (chair.dunstabletownfc@gmail.com)
