Football news
Men’s Team
A depleted squad travelled to Clapton CFC last Saturday and gave a good account of themselves despite the 4-3 scoreline:
Many debuts were made and experience gained. It was good to see 16 year Owen Russell make an appearance and score a last minute penalty.
The team then played Leverstock Green at Creasey Park on Tuesday and came away with a 3-2 win in a very good performance.
The season starts tomorrow with a home game against Haringey Borough at 3pm.
Parking will be restricted. The main car park will be for players & officials of both clubs plus blue badge holders.
Supporters are to use the overflow car park.
Player signings
Steve O’Reilly has been busy this week and the club have confined the signings of Jordan Wright from MK Irish, Mason Watkins-Clark from Barton Rovers, Charlie Clark from Wormley Rovers, Joseph Caffery from Colney Heath, Joe Russell previously with Welwyn Garden City, Harvey Matthews from Aylesbury Vale Dynamos and Allen Mukopfa who’s dual signed with Hertford Town.

Women’s team
A very entertaining against Needham Market on Sunday saw the team lose 4-3 but it was a very encouraging performance.
Goals came from Emily Foster, Bailey Plumbridge and Cerys Rees.
They are at home again in ATP2 on Sunday against Ampthill Town at 2pm in their next pre-season friendly.
They are still looking for players and new coaches, see the vacancies list further down this update.

A free group to just chat and socialise with no pressure to talk.
It’s very informal and relax. A great way to meet new people and take time out from any stress.

Club Merchandise
Sixty years shirt on sale now
The club in association with VX3 have designed a bespoke shirt to mark 60+ years at Creasey Park.
Predominantly white in colour, it includes images of Creasey and DTFC history. White was the original colour back in 1964.
It will be worn once in a competitive match at the start of the season.
