Dunstable Town FC, Shout or Whisper & Titan PCN are delighted to announce the formation of a collaborative project called Write Minds. The new group starts on Monday, April 22nd and will offer creative writing groups for up to twelve people at weekly meetings, held in the Club's CBS Hub at Creasey Park in Dunstable.
Shout or Whisper specialise in all forms of written expression and hold regular creative writing groups & open mic nights in and around Hitchin.
The group came about thanks to attendance from both parties at a Mental Health Alliance meeting and the shared desire to offer support to people who want to express their thoughts and feelings through the written word. Football can and should be a positive voice in advocating better mental health & attempt to remove the stigma attached to mental health problems, a myriad of symptoms and conditions that will adversely affect one in four of us at some stage in our lives.
This is the second group that Titan PCN have linked up with Dunstable Town FC on. The two partners have already been running Chums & Crumbs for over two years and will be looking to expand their range of social support groups later on in the year.
