Following Friday night's highly successful AGM which saw over half of the Club’s 105 individual owners participate in the elections for directors and decide the cost of owners’ packages and season tickets, Dunstable Town FC appointed Canadian owner, Jeffrey Roy to act as the Club’s International Supporters’ Ambassador.
Jeffrey is a long-time supporter of Community/Fan owned clubs and has an extensive knowledge of the English non-league game. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, a mere 4,583 km away from Creasey Park.
Locally, Jeffrey is a supporter of Halifax Wanderers who compete in the Canadian Premier League.
Jeffrey’s immediate goal is to represent the Club in Canada & North America and increase the number of partnerships and twinning opportunities available as well as promoting Club ownership.
Jeffrey said he was:
“Humbled and honoured to have been welcomed into the DTFC family in this new role. I accept it with gratitude, humility, and the commitment to do what I can to develop the profile of the club internationally. "
Jeffrey will team up with newly elected Director, Peter Bottom, who in addition to his role as Fundraising Manager will develop & coordinate supporters groups at home and abroad.
Welcome to the Club, Jeffrey, it’s great to have you on board as one of the team.
