Back in the Quadrant.

As I write this, two footballing communities, in Bury and Bolton, are fighting for the right to exist. Supporters, staff and players are all stakeholders in both clubs, all know the importance of a vibrant local football club within their respective communities. The demise of a club takes something away from the very fabric of a local area and leaves a gap that local people don't want. Yet others play at finger pointing and the blame game, but will move on to another project without a care in the world, and that to me is the shameful and sordid part of football I do not like. Dunstable Town FC has aspiration and ambition, yet we do so against the backdrop of competing with wealthier neighbours. This does not stop us from wanting to be the best we can be. This is why we go out into the community with our stall on a regular basis. This Saturday 31st of Aug from 12 noon we will be in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, talking to local people about what Dunstable Town FC does within our community all year round. So if you want to help us and value local football's right to remain a part of the local community, then I look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning. Thank you, Peter
