Back in the Quadrent....

March 22, 2019

Dunstable Town FC will yet again be engaging with local people in the Quadrant shopping centre this coming Saturday . People ask is it not soul destroying ,promoting a non league football team . My answer to that question is very clear . A football club who believes that the boundaries of a club begin & end at the turnstiles of its stadium , cannot claim to be community based & are blinkered in there approach to localism . At Dunstable Town we believe that community engagement does & will reap a reward , granted its more evolution than revolution .Be in know doubt its working . The youngsters who have joined our youth section & are flourishing . The interest shown by local young hungry footballers in wanting to find out if they have got what it takes to play for our two adult sides at a semi pro level .
We are a club that want to enable people locally to be not only the best player they can be , but develope them & make them grounded young people who yes play hard , but know how to conduct themselves & are proud to represent Dunstable Town FC & there town .
If our ethos is yours as well . Then make your non league club part of your weekend . We are part of the fabric of this town , but we want a team & a club that gets the support of its local community . The easy option is the bigger clubs .The grassroots community based option is your local team . Come & talk to us down in the Quadrant , if you cant do that then come down to a Dunstable Town FC match , we would love to see you & for us to become a focal point in what you do on Saturdays . From Peter Burrows Community engagement officer .
