Dunstable Town 3-1 Harefield Utd
This was the first of 2 games in a 43 hour period. An even first 5 minutes until Mark Reilly tore his ankle ligaments which will keep him out for 6 weeks. It is fair to say the 'Hares' had the better of the half and struck first on 8 minutes when the striker lobbed Gary Malone in our goal.
The equaliser came against the run of play on 14 minutes when Tofarati Adeoti needed two attempts to finally get the ball over the line following a good move. Rather than motivate Dunstable to better things it was Harefield who had the better of the play in the first half and were unlucky not to go into the lead on a couple of occasions and Simon Reilly was happy to get them in all square at the break.
A few choice words by Simon and Colin at half time seemed to be the order of the day and it was like watching a different team in the second half. Dunstable continued to press Harefield back and got their noses in front with 20 minutes left on the clock. After a bit of a goal mouth ping pong, Ashwin Chinjekure stayed calm to slot home.
On 76 minutes a Dangerous Lee Mooney corner was met by Erin Amu who's downward header gave the keeper no chance and effectively killed off the Harefield hopes.
