Dunstable Town FC Supports the Love Lancot Premiere

As more schools get to know about and be involved in the club’s community school project, the more invitations the club is receiving to attend and be part of initiatives and projects that local schools are setting up and running. This was the case in November, when the club was invited to attend the “Love Lancot” film premiere at The Grove Theatre, here in Dunstable. Students of the Lancot Challenger Academy had been involved in a project to create a film about their school with the main focus being why they loved their school so much.

The club was more than happy to be part of this event. Danny Talbot, our Assistant Manager and prolific midfield dynamo scoring machine, represented the club at this event alongside a number of other invited local dignitaries. The event was a fantastic night for the school and the students. The theatre was packed out with Danny and all those attending captivated and fascinated by the content and quality of the film the students had produced.

Danny was one of the party of official guests that greeted, congratulated and gave out prizes to the students at the event. Danny, stated that throughout the evening all those attending “…got a real sense of community within the school”. He was impressed with the range of activities the students get involved in at school, particularly the Wow Days!”.

The club wishes to congratulate the school on putting on such a great event. We look forward to Lancot students, teachers and their families coming down to Creasey Park to watch a game and be part of the match-day experience.
