Dunstable Town boss Tony Fontenelle has said tonight’s game is the toughest his side have faced this season.
The Blues travel to Redditch United, a team who have only lost one game at home all season, and are still very much in the fight for the Southern Premier League title coming into the final games of the season.
Fontenelle said: “They have got a fantastic home record, this is our biggest challenge this season, this is the toughest.
“We aren’t going to go there and try and shut up shop, it’s about staying in the game, and making as few mistakes as possible, I think our lads will embrace the challenge.”
Dunstable drew 0-0 with Stratford Town at the DCS Stadium on Saturday, a result which saw reserve keeper Bart Pedrycz keep a clean sheet in the place of the injured Jamie Head, who is available tonight, with Pedrycz making some excellent saves, leaving Fontenelle with a selection headache for tonight.
Fontenelle said: “He did better than expected, I have known Bart for a few years, I didn’t have any reservations about putting him in the side on Saturday, he has given me a selection dilemma for Monday night.”
Adam Watkins isn’t available tonight and looks likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he picked up against Stratford Town.
Dunstable travel to Redditch United tonight with a 7:45pm kick-off.
