With over 60 players in attendance over two days, Dunstable Town manager Tony McCool was delighted with the turnout and the quality on show.

Following Saturday's session on Creasey Park's 3G pitch, McCool said, "I have been delighted with the turnout and response from players wanting to be part of the story at Dunstable Town. Firstly I have to say a huge thank you to the commitment and decency of last years players Gedeon Okito and John Sanugo.

They have epitomised everything we are trying to do and shown humbleness and humility during this transition. They have simply got on the pitch with everyone else and shown instantly great ability and commitment to the cause. They will be key for us next season."

The successful trialists have been forwarded a detailed pre season shedule, starting with an intensive fitness test on Tuesday. The Blues manager explained, "We have now seen around 60 invited players who all showed real caliber and some with excellent backgrounds. We have now halved that number and set about position specific profiles to target.

These remaining lads will start full pre season with us on Tuesday and as part of that, will be fitness tested. This will help enable us to then get close to the remaining target number who we will quickly tie down, I hope within the next 7 days."

After a busy couple of weeks in charge at Creasey Park, Tony McCool is clearly excited and looking forward to 12th August, "Overall this has already been breathtaking and to see these lads take to the field in blue and white will be incredible."
