MATCH REPORT: CIRENCESTER TOWN V DUNSTABLE TOWN

UPHILL STRUGGLE IN THE COTSWOLDS

Dunstable fell behind to a replica goal of the Chippenham game when a free-kick from the left was not defended and volleyed past Jack Smith after just eight minutes.

The visitors recovered and were looking good for an equaliser when Gedeon Okita was given a straight red card towards the end of the first half for what was deemed a violent tackle. To add to this Alex Cathline had to go off injured, but Dunstable substitutes Jetmir Esso, Adam Moussi and Saul Williams did well

Okita’s harsh dismissal changed the texture of the game and Cirencester exploited the space and numerical advantage but they did not score their second until four minutes from time. Great performances from Zack Reynolds and Danny Talbot were highlights with Talbot coming close to scoring with two free-kicks.

At the other end Jack Smith was kept busy and was called upon to make a series of saves, but once reduced to ten men it was always going to be difficult.
