After bringing an end to a run of three defeats in a row with a victory over Merthyr Town last weekend, Dunstable Town boss Tony Fontenelle will be hoping to carry that momentum forward into this weekend’s game against Slough Town.

Two goals from Danny Talbot helped secure the victory last Saturday against a Merthyr side that included two of the league’s top goal scorers.

Fontenelle, who in recent weeks heaped praise on to his assistant boss and player, still seems very much impressed with the former Hemel Hempstead midfielder.

Fontenelle said: “I don’t think he has scored so many goals in one season, it has sort of given him a new lease of life, he is just having that knack of being ‘in the right place at the right time.’

“But it isn’t just that, some of the goals he has scored have been of real quality and we are very fortunate to have him at Dunstable.”

Dunstable travel to Slough on Saturday, with the Rebels without a win in their last three matches.

Fontenelle said: “Slough themselves are on a difficult run, they will be wanting to put that right like us last week, they’ll be wanting to stop the rot.

“They beat us earlier in the season, but we have done our homework on them although I am aware our away form hasn’t been the best, so it is important that we start picking up points away from home.”

Dunstable travel away to Slough Town this Saturday (05/03/16) with a 3pm kick off.
