No Reward For Hard Work.

Written by Andrew Madaras, Picture by 📷📸 Chris White . Under clear blue skies and a sun hot enough to turn the skin red Dunstable Town came unstuck against an in form Coleshill side & returned to Creasey Park pointless and now needing positive results in their last two games of the season to keep their place at Step 4. There was enough good football on display to show that the Team can play themselves out of the relegation places, but it will take discipline, backbone, character, the graceful skills of the playmakers, the accuracy of the sharpshooters ,but most of all, Unity in the camp and a coming together for the collective good to make that happen. Dunstable found themselves a goal d

Lincoln The Hero as Young Duns Go For It.

Written by Andrew Madaras, Pictures by Chris White. Hillgrounds, the home of Kempston Rovers FC, resembled a home match for the victorious Development Team on Wednesday night such was the remarkable level of support from Dunstable Town supporters who came out in their numbers to support the boys. Rather disappointingly the Beds FA is yet (four days after the match) to update it’s website to record the score and list the attendance. Estimates of a crowd between 175 and 200 people, I doubt will not be far off the mark, with at least half being Dunstable supporters. The game had everything, thrills, spills, woodwork rattling, three penalties, all missed, heroic last ditch defending, a winning

Back in the Quadrant.

As the non league season is nearly over . Many will ask what merits a good season . Well like many other clubs who are not cash rich bringing through your own local talent & watching them flourish merits a good season . What makes it even better is when that local talent wins a major County cup as our development squad did recently 1-0 against a well organised side in Henlow FC. There is future talent emerging in our other squads example being our U16 's playing a brand of passing football under the stewardship of Wayne Upton . Should you be reading this & thinking i would like to be part of this ,or your a parent & you want them to join a local well run football club . Then come & visit

Dunstable Fall At The Last:

Written by Andrew Madaras Picture by Chris White. Football is a cruel mistress. Dunstable Town deserved something from this game but left the pitch at ten to five pointless despite a strong, and much improved performance in which match sponsor, James Reeves representing Greene King, awarded the Man of the Match bubbly to Alex Taylor. A disappointing run of results has left the Blues looking nervously over their shoulder as rivals, North Leigh, Kidlington, Aylesbury and Welwyn Garden City have began to pick up points in recent matches. There have been games where we have been out fought, and been second best but yesterday, as in the game away at Barton a fortnight ago, the Blues have played g

Away Day Joy For Soaring Eagles.

Bedford Town moved through the gears seemingly quite effortlessly at Creasey Park on Saturday to complete the double over Dunstable Town, becoming only the 5th team this season to achieve this. Given the topsy-turvey season Dunstable have experienced this little stat does hint at the way things can go according to plan on the field..and equally, the way things can go wrong on the field. Impressive wins over Bromsgrove, Corby and Thame, hard fought draws at Peterborough, Cambridge, and last Saturday at Barton, show the ability the Team has when everything clicks. Too often though, game plans are not followed and tactics forgotten when the opposition seek our collective achilles heel, press ha

Saturday morning we are back in the Quadrant....

Many will be basking in the size ,the lavish luxury of Spurs new ground & whilst its a sight to behold which nobody can deny . The flip side to what i have just said has merit to , namely the gulf between the fat cat big boys & the comparison of the non league football club world many of whom budget week to week & month to month & breathe a sigh of relief in doing so . Local non league clubs up & down the country rely on volunteers to keep going both during the season & the close season . Your local club Dunstable Town FC , wants to produce a good competitve team & a good matchday experience for those attending & we would like more local support from both people through the turnstiles & we

All Square in Local Derby:

Written by Andrew Madaras, Pictures by Chris white. Pictures of Goal scorer Charlie Black. Dunstable Town left Sharpenhoe Road on Saturday with a precious point following a battling display against county rivals Barton Rovers. On another day one point, could have been three. Twice Dunstable hit the woodwork, Hassan Sheikh from a free kick, Alex Taylor the second, and John Sonuga had one cleared off the line. So near, yet so far. The draw pleased Blues Manager, Gareth Jackson, who paid credit to his side who had put in a strong performance on the back of two solid training sessions during the week. How important this result will be come the end of the season remains to be seen, as Dunstable l
